100% Gamay from their own vines in Saint-Germain-Nuelles in the south of Beaujolais. The vines were planted in 1927 and some in 1970, on alluvial and limestone soils. The grapes see 2 weeks of whole cluster maceration before being pressed off and aged for 5 months in barrels. Light on its feet, ethereal, complex, and immensely satisfying to drink. Old vine character comes through in its complexity and with a marked saltiness. Bottled in 1 litre recycled glass. Pure joy in a bottle.
