Chenin, Pineau d’Aunis ++
Named after the Celtic goddess who protects horses, Epona consists of 25 varieties, both white and red. Planted in 2004 from ungrafted pre-phylloxera rootstock. The two dominant grapes here are Chenin and Pineau d’Aunis. All grapes are direct pressed, therefore white in colour. An attack of Limoncello and kefir upfront, with soft and fragrant fruits underneath. Lychees, white table grapes and lipstick. The texture is like snow melting on your tongue.
