Grenache and Carignan from 40-year-old vines. Philippe’s entry-level red: dried herb de Provence, ripe raspberries, pencil lead minerality. The lightest in extraction of all his reds but tons of flavor. Very balanced and bright acidity, gentle grip, and a slightly bitter herbaceous finish. Macerated for 7 days in concrete, direct vertical press, then aged in 30hl barrels for 10 months.
