Sébastien Dervieux (Babass) is one of the most influential winemakers in the natural wine world. Since the early 2000s he’s been producing sulphur-free wines, and alongside contemporaries like Oliver Cousin and Jean-Pierre Robinot, paved the way for natural winemaking in the Loire and across France. Formally a part of the legendary Domaine des Griottes, Babass decided to make his own wines in 2011. Along with his partner Agnès, he currently works 2.4ha of vines in some best terroirs just south of Angers and the Loire river.
Brutal Babass is a multi-vintage Chenin Blanc made ancestral method. Slightly fizzy and densely packed with flavour.
